5/7 Soldering- Students solder wires to build a battery-powered vehicle, considering budget and time. They get 'BuildMo Bucks' and a price list to choose materials for boats or cars. The activity ends with a race, promoting teamwork and creativity.
5/14 Coding- Students build a Cutebot, learning about robot mechanics. They use MakerCode, a simple coding platform, to program the micro-controller. Following engineering principles, they modify the code to control lights, play music, and react to inputs. The coding challenge involves navigating robots through a maze, demonstrating coding skills and problem-solving.
5/21 Welding- In our welding program, we teach the science of welding alongside a thorough safety briefing. Students will have the opportunity to weld a creative statue and a personalized name plate as part of their practical assignments.
6/11 Woodworking- In our woodworking lesson, students will learn to create either a birdhouse or a hexagon shelf. They'll start with safety instructions and basic tool use, then move on to measuring, cutting, and assembling their chosen project. By the end, they'll have a finished piece to take home and the satisfaction of mastering new woodworking skills.
